Zino Davidoff launched his luxury cigar and tobacco brand in Geneva, Switzerland after taking control of his parents’ tobacco shop in 1930. The business became particularly successful during the Second World War, as the neutral Switzerland attracted many wealthy tobacco customers. In an unusual diversification for a tobacco company, Davidoff launched its famous Cool Water fragrance for men in 1988. The Davidoff brand now produces a wide range of fragrances, including Hot Water, Adventure, Echo Woman, and Zino, named after the man who started it all.
